Ford has uncovered the Red Edition of their Focus RS just before Christmas.
This exclusive motor is coated in festive race red paint and will have a limited production run of just 300 cars. Aside from the standout paint job, the Red Edition RS has grey brake callipers, black-cast alloy wheels and the RS Edition’s trademark contrasting black roof, door mirrors and rear spoiler.
The Focus RS Red Edition is for car enthusiasts wanting a high-performance driving experience. The type of feature that helps to build interest is a front mechanical Quaife limited-slip differential (LSD). It improves traction, allows the driver to get the most out of the vehicle, and increases the overall charm of the car.
Here is what Ford’s British chairman and managing director, Andy Barratt, had to say:
“The Focus RS Edition represents accessible performance at its finest.” Barratt also said. “As RS production nears its end, we wanted to celebrate with a limited run of cars for those who want to stand out as an RS fan.”
The Focus RS has a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine capable of delivering 350ps. It can get from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds using the car’s launch control function.
If you’re interested in purchasing the Focus RS Red Edition, it will cost £36,295. Ford will be building the 300 cars between February and March 2018.
