BMW has unveiled their new M3 CS and it is nothing short of impressive. However, to get your hands on one you’ll need to fork out a whopping £86k!
With a focus on achieving the “perfect combination of high performance, dynamic performance, and everyday usability,” BMW have given the car a sportier suspension set-up, a twin sports exhaust system, and a seven-speed M dual-clutch gearbox.
Also, the BMW M3 CS has a kerb weight of just 1,585kg making it extremely light and agile. In fact, BMW claim that the bonnet alone is about 25 percent lighter than that of the standard M3. These impressive weight savings are all thanks to the use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) throughout the design of the car.
The M3 CS is equipped with a six-cylinder inline engine that can deliver 460 hp and 600 Nm peak torque. All of that power allows the car to reach a top speed of 174 mph. Moreover, the car can go from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds. Very satisfying figures.
Although BMW has put a lot of effort into making this a powerful, lightweight beast, they haven’t forgotten to include the all-important element of luxury. The M3 CS comes with a host of opulent features, including climate control, a Harman Kardon Surround Sound System, M Sports seats, and no shortage of high quality materials – namely leather and Alcantara – throughout the car’s interior.
The BMW M3 CS is on sale from January 2018 with first orders arriving in March 2018. Prices start from £86,380 OTR.
