Toyota has announced that their limited edition Yaris GRMN will be revealed to the UK public at this years Carfest North event.
That’s right, the Yaris World Rally Championship (WRC) inspired GRMN has arrived and demand for the red hot hatch is expected to be high. The official start of online sales reservations for the model begin a day before its debut and with only around 100 examples available in the UK you’ll have to be quick to get your hands on one.
The Yaris GRMN will have a 1.8-litre engine which can produce a very respectable 212hp. This is possible thanks to supercharging, a high-pressure fuel injection system and advanced tuning. This power allows the sizzling hatchback to go from 0-62mph in around 6.3 seconds.
Looks-wise the Yaris GRMN’s bodywork will feature the signature black and red decals which replicate the colours of Toyota Gazoo Racing. These unique design characteristics make the GRMN a real collector’s item and a testament to the success of the Yaris WRC car.
As mentioned earlier, the car will make its UK premiere at Carfest North a major fund-raising event for Children in Need that is taking place at the Bolesworth Estate in Cheshire from this Friday to Sunday (28 to 30 July).
The Yaris GRMN will feature on Toyota’s stand at the event alongside many of the Japanese manufacturer’s other new models, including the GT86 Club Series Orange Edition, Prius Plug-in, C-HR Hybrid and the Polar Hilux.
